The Department Sponsors three organizations for undergraduate students:
Geography Club
The Geography Club promotes the awareness and involvement of GCSU students, staff and faculty in geography and geographic education. We enjoy learning about geography, sharing our knowledge with others, and promoting the activities of the geography program. Visit the club website here.
History Club
The History Club is open to all individuals interested in historical events and research. You don't have to be a history major to enjoy history! Check out the club Facebook page at Georgia College History Club. The History Club sponsors two main events each year. The Annual Book Sale and the Haunted Cemetery Tour in Memory Hill Cemetery. Dr. James Welborn is the faculty advisor for the club.
Phi Alpha Theta
The local chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honorary association, is open by invitation to students with exceptional records. Contact Dr. Jessica Wallace for more information. (Beeson Hall 212) or jessica.wallace@gcsu.edu
